50Fin achieves 60% faster deployments by migrating to AWS.
50Fin · Loans against securities
A monolithic repo with no deployment automation, and SMS costs rising through international routing. We migrated the platform and built the pipeline.

The opportunity
Infrastructure that cost more the more the platform was used.
50Fin lets Indian retail investors borrow against their securities, and its synchronisation application sat on cloud infrastructure that was becoming steadily more costly and less efficient-affecting both scalability and day-to-day operational performance.
Messaging compounded it: SMS routed internationally, so cost rose with volume. And with no deployment automation and a monolithic repository, the team could not customise or ship quickly. Security needed tighter network controls on top of all of it.
Costly, inefficient infrastructure
Scalability and operational performance both suffered as usage grew.
SMS routed internationally
Messaging cost rose with volume because of the routing path.
No deployment automation
A monolithic repository limited both customisation and delivery speed.
Network controls needed tightening
Security required stricter boundaries than the setup provided.
The impact
Deployment stopped being maintenance work.
60% faster CI/CD
A custom pipeline on Lambda and CodeBuild removed the per-pipeline maintenance time entirely.
SMS on local routing
Amazon SNS with local routing plus TRAI registration for transactional SMS cut the messaging bill.
White-label delivery 25% faster
Amplify hosts the front ends, so a new branded platform is a deployment rather than a project.
Private by default
Private subnet deployment with VPN access restricted to client offices closed the network gap.
“We couldn't be happier with the help we got from Shellkode during our cloud migration. They made sure everything went smoothly and were super supportive the whole way through.”
The stack
What it runs on.
- Migration
- AWS Application Migration Service, DMS, DataSync, DNS
- Delivery pipeline
- AWS Lambda, CodeBuild, Amazon ECR, App Runner, GitHub webhooks
- Hosting and messaging
- AWS Amplify white-label front ends, Amazon SNS local routing
- Network and observability
- Private subnets, office-restricted VPN, Amazon CloudWatch
The road ahead
The platform is on AWS. Next is what ships on it.
With migration, delivery automation and network controls in place, new white-label platforms and product changes go out through a pipeline that already exists rather than one assembled per release.
- 01
More white-label platforms
- 02
Progressive delivery on higher-risk changes
- 03
Continuous cost measurement
